- Delta Airlines in talks for large stake in Virgin Atlantic – Singapore Airlines, who hold a 49% share in Virgin Atlantic, is considering giving up its share, and Delta appears to be the top candidate. (USA Today)
- International tourism to reach record billion travelers in 2012 – The World Travel & Tourism Council says that this year, international traveling will break the 1 billion mark. That’s 1 person traveling out of every 7 in the entire world’s population. (Reuters)
- Fastjet in talks with Emirates for partnership - Low-cost African carrier Fastjet revealed that it was in partnership talks with Emirates Airlines. (Reuters)
- Etihad may buy Air Berlin’s frequent flier program – Air Berlin is in talks to sell its frequent flier program to Etihad, its partner and shareholder. (Businessweek)
