This photo was taken from the Ponterosso Bridge in Trieste, Italy. The Ponte Rosso (literally, “red bridge”) spans the Canal Grande di Trieste. The Canal Grande di Trieste is a waterway located in the heart of Trieste, approximately midway between the central train station and the Piazza Unità d’Italia.
There’s also a statue of the famous author, James Joyce, on one end of the bridge:
These photos were taken by my friends and me during our Great Northern Italy Adventure, on December 26, 2012. If you think the photos are decent, then Paolo, Alessandra, or Joseph probably captured them; if you find them to be hideous and nauseating, then I might have taken that one ;)
