Red Geraniums in Parisian Windows (1)

Strolling through Paris, France, in the spring or summer, it is hard to miss the potted red geraniums that seem to grace many windowsills and balconies throughout the city. Set in flower boxes (also called planter’s boxes), red seems to be the color of choice, and geraniums likewise receive the popular vote. It is hard to pass through a street in the City of Lights where the red color doesn’t protrude overhead as you pass below.
