Åre Village is a small town in central Sweden near the border of Norway. Located in Jämtland County, the population of under 2,000 inhabitants would seem like this is a place not quite visited often. However, savvy skiers know that the mountains around Åre are some of the best slopes around.

The photo above shows Max Hamburgers, which is Sweden’s oldest hamburger chain. Originally opened in the north of Sweden 1968, today this family business has restaurants all over Sweden.

The photo below shows some of the great mountains around the village. Åre is the largest mountain resort in Sweden, and people have been coming to Åre to enjoy the slopes and nature as a ski resort since the early 20th century; today it is a popular year-round destination.
