Turin (Torino), Italy was one of the cities that left the biggest and most lasting impressions on me, and only in a good way. The city is the fourth largest in Italy, located in the north of the country, and Milan, France, and Switzerland are less than 80 km (50 mi) away.
Torino has a rich history, impressive architecture and artwork, and dozens of venerable plazas. One of my favorite experiences was walking through the city at night, and it just so happened that the night that we chose was a bit overcast and foggy; however, it was nonetheless beautiful. Actually, the fog might have added some character to the different buildings we walked past, lit up from the warm glow of the city’s Luci d’Artista event.
