In honor of the 12 days of Christmas, the folks at the Dealchecker team have identified six traditional and six alternative Christmas markets that should satisfy the tastes of even the hardest-to-buy-for on your gift list. Added to which you may get a weekend winter break thrown in, too.

Alice Mariscotti-Wyatt, editor at Dealchecker adds:

“Traditionalists in search of a festive treat should head for Europe. From Cologne, to Brussels or Berlin, many Christmas markets here feature classic German styles and cuisine. Nibbles on offer include ‘Bratwurst’ German hot dogs, crumbly ‘Lebkuchen’ gingerbread biscuits, Stollen fruit cake and that all-important glass of mulled wine. Or opt for one of our more alternative suggestions and enjoy an artificial snow fight in Dubai or a huge turkey parade in northern France. “

Dealchecker.co.uk has assembled this handy infographic illustrating their chosen 12 markets of Christmas, six with a traditional slant and six more quirky options. Which will you plump for this year?
