  • India approves visa on arrival – Citizens of 43 countries, including the United States, Russia, and Brazil, will now be able to obtain a tourist visa upon arrival for stays of 30 days or less. (QZ)
  • Yotel draws up plans for major expansion – The budget, youth-oriented hotel with properties in Amsterdam and New York City, among others, is planning on a huge expansion, including dozens more properties in New York, San Francisco, and Miami. (Bloomberg)
  • First A350 to be delivered next week – Qatar Airways will be the first to receive Airbus’ new A350 aircraft, the first new model to be rolled out since Boeing’s 787 Dreamliner. (USA Today)
  • JAL reduces long-haul seating – In an attempt to make flights more comfortable on some of their longer flights, Japan Airlines will eliminate up to 35 seats to offer more legroom in premium economy. (Skift)
  • Tunnel planned near Stonehenge – The British government is considering running a tunnel under or near the famous monument to cut traffic and keep noise pollution down. (io9)
  • Virgin Group plans new cruise line – Branson continues to expand further into the tourism industry after his successful airlines, hotel, and rail, by contemplating a Virgin cruise line. (Bloomberg)
  • Gatwick announces seamless plane-to-train connections – London’s Gatwick Airport announced a £120.5 million plan to ease rail connections for air travelers. (Skift)
