Australia

Other places to visit include Macy’s Christmas display and the holiday markets sprinkled throughout the city.

Disneyland Paris, Paris, France

Disney knows how to do Christmas for all the family. They put on extravagant parades and deck the parks in decorations galore. Music pours out of every nook and cranny and the characters are all in the yuletide spirit! Combine this with the close proximity to the beautiful European city that is Paris and this is a destination not to be missed, especially for families. The City of Lights does not disappoint and boasts a superb Christmas market for those who fancy a dose of festive shopping.

Edinburgh, Scotland

This capital city is like a fairytale the whole year through, but when Christmas hits, something magical happens. Festive European market stalls line the streets, singers and bagpipers play as shoppers walk by, and rides are set up right in the middle of the city. There is ice-skating to be had, as well as a plethora of shows that span everything from comedy to the Nutcracker. To top this all off, there are light shows and fireworks displays all the way through December. Edinburgh is definitely a great contender for a yuletide city break!
