  • AirAsia flight confirmed crashed – The AirAsia Flight 8501 crashed about an hour after leaving Surabaya heading to Singapore with 162 people aboard; several large pieces of the jet, as well as dozens of bodies, have been pulled from the site. (NYT)
  • ‘Stretch’ Dreamliners in NYC-South America route – 2015 will see LAN implementing the longer Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners on its routes between New York JFK and Santiago, Chile, beginning July 20. (USA Today)
  • Lake Placid finally sees non-Olympic tourism – The idyllic upstate New York community is starting to see a spurt in tourism growth, and not all related to the famous 1980 Olympics hosted there. (Skift)
