Dauntless Jaunter Update State of our SiteWe here at Dauntless Jaunter have seemingly been ignoring the site; it’s completely obvious if you’ve come here in the past few months and noticed the stagnant nature of DJ.

I have not forgotten about the site, though, and it does remain my baby. The last months have had me focus my energy and time over at some sister projects, as well as some more personal items.

First and foremost: we have now established our Russian-language sister site, Vezdebrod! This is where most of my time has been spent, and I’m quite happy to report that it is up and running and alive and active and well :) Vezdebrod LogoWhat is Vezdebrod, you ask? Well, good question! Vezdebrod is a combination of our three main sister sites (this Dauntless Jaunter Travel Site and its destinations, Everywhere Fare and its recipes, and Shishek Travel Tools and its language-learning guides), all translated into Russian. It is not merely Google Translated, as the service remains lacking. Rather, it is carefully translated by our Mariia and some others into the Russian language. And, since we have a pool of Russian-speaking talent, we may soon have some original articles there which may get translated to English for Dauntless Jaunter.

Over here, at Dauntless Jaunter, I’ve been carefully preparing for a comeback. I’ve neglected this site for far too long, and I pondered how best to get back into the swing of things. I could write an article here and there, and Hristina has been a gem with her contributions, but ultimately I knew that I wouldn’t be ready to be steady, if you know what I mean.

So, we’re coming back in just a little over a week, on 1 December 2015. This is giving me time to get things in order, update some long overdue pages and such, and allow us time to gather some posts. We are scheduling posts now so that we don’t have weird gaps between posts when we relaunch, and hopefully this will allow us the ability to maintain that pace from there on.

Also, before this time, we used to have some low-hit weekend posts: the Weekly Travel News Recap on Saturdays and a Weekly Photo/Video on Sundays. These we’ve also been neglecting, and we also plan to bring them back, but on a new schedule. The News Recap will get a new template and will move to early Mondays, and the Weekly Photos will move to Fridays.

We hope that you check back with us soon for these changes, and we hope that they help you with your travels and quests for knowledge.

Christian
