Overview

The capital of Hungary, Budapest is quite a city to behold. It is the capital and largest city of Hungary, and a very popular tourist destination. It straddles the Danube River, with Buda on the west bank and Pest on the east. Budapest has numerous World Heritage Sites, including the banks of the Danube River, the Buda Castle Quarter, Andrássy Avenue, Heroes’ Square and the Millennium Underground Railway.
